The Thule 912 Roadway 2-Bike Hitch Mount Rack sets the new standard for performance and ease of use. The Thule Roadway has a two bicycle carrying capacity, and provides you with the perfect combination of security and convenience. The Thule Roadway utilizes Thule's Stinger Swinger hitch that converts quickly from a two-inch receiver to a 1.25-inch receiver, right out of the box. This bicycle rack features Thule's Hitch Switch dual quick-release levers for rapid, rear vehicle access and folding arms for storage, and Thule's T3 Cradles that lock down bikes and cradles while still allowing complete adjustment along the bike arm. Good product. The only problem I have is when mounting my bike I have to shift the bike back and forth a couple of times in order to get the anti-sway bar around my water bottle cage and onto the frame post.

If it were not for the the expensive in shipping the product back and that I need to transport my bikes next week, I would return the device. The supplied bolt that secures the rack to the hitch for a 2 inch hitch will only extend half way into base. In other words it goes through the hole on one side of the hitch frame and into the Thule base part way. It does not extend all the way through the base and through the other side of the hitch frame. That is unless you want to want to spend an additional 50 dollars for the locking base bolt that gives you "extra stabilty." This part extends all the way through.

Overall the rack is excellent quality and it holds the bikes very securely. All the other reviews already hit the high points. But there's one thing that was overlooked in all those reviews and I feel it's a huge design flaw. The connection to your vehicles receiver hitch. The rack I received makes the connection to your vehicles recevier hitch with just a bolt and a couple washers. The bolt isn't even long enough to go all the way through a 2" receiver so you can put a nut on the other end and secure it properly. Furthermore, the hole the bolt goes in isn't even big enough for a standard 5/8" hitch pin to go through. Their connection solution of a bolt and a couple of washers isn't secure enough for me and I believe it's actually a law in this state and others to have a cotter pin or some other sort of locking mechanism to keep the pin from coming out. I'm sure their Snug-Tite lock fits perfectly, but for $50 it's way overpriced. It's cheaper for me to buy a decent locking hitch pin and drill out the hole on the rack. The rack itself would get five stars if it weren't for their method of connecting it to the receiver hitch.

Just as advertised. I carried 2 mtb bikes of the same size; loaded front to rear; bought a bike adapter and rolled out to my ride. The rack folds up easily and inconspicuously. I mounted it to the car, bought the Thule lock, and just leave it there. Very easy to assemble. Highly recommend it.

A very solid piece of equipment.The bolt which binds the carrier to the trailer hitch has a tendency to work loose. I put some loctite, a superglue product, on the bolt and this appears to have taken care of the problem. I purchased an inexpensive cable type bicycle lock at Walmart rather than the expensive Thule lock. So far so good. I just wrap the extra cable around the carrier post etc.
